Orlando water parks at a glance

Four water parks serve Orlando visitors. Walt Disney World runs Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, Universal Orlando runs Volcano Bay, and Aquatica sits across from SeaWorld. Each has its own ticket, so a theme park ticket does not get you in.

This is an independent guide with no connection to the park operators. Figures are the operators' published prices as of 2026 and can change. Several parks are closed or about to close for maintenance, so confirm the status on your travel dates.

Typhoon Lagoon

The park lists a Surf Pool, Crush โ€™nโ€™ Gusher and Miss Adventure Falls. The operator's page shows it as currently closed for refurbishment, and its calendar showed maintenance on October 18, 2026. A ride named in the attraction list is not necessarily open, so check the park status first.

Typhoon Lagoon is part of Walt Disney World. The Walt Disney World overview covers parking and resort buses.

Blizzard Beach

The attractions listed are Summit Plummet, Cross Country Creek and Melt-Away Bay.

The park's calendar showed 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for October 19, 2026. Do not assume both Disney water parks are open at the same time, and do not assume a fixed winter rotation. Check the calendar for your date.

Disney water park tickets

The operator lists $74 for adults and $68 for children aged 3 to 9. A version with blockout dates is listed at $64 and $58. Check the tax status and the blockout list on the ticket page before you pay. A seasonal pass is listed at $89 plus tax, valid until May 15, 2027, with blockout dates. It gives access to whichever Disney water park is open, with no promise that both are. Standard parking at the Disney water parks is free.

Safety

Swimwear with exposed metal or other sharp parts is not allowed on rides. Children who need them must wear swim diapers. Height rules differ for each slide.

Volcano Bay

Volcano Bay is Universal's water park. It is a separate option and is not part of the park-to-park multi-day tickets. It is sold as an add-on to them. The free Express Unlimited perk for some Universal hotels does not apply at Volcano Bay.

Maintenance is planned to begin on October 26, 2026. Universal's pages disagree on the latest planned reopening date: one says on or before March 24, 2027, another on or before April 1, 2027. Treat both as plans, not as a promise.

When it is open, a free shuttle runs from the designated area of the main garage to the entrance. Standard parking is $35 per day in 2026. Disney's free water park parking does not carry over to Universal. See the Universal Orlando page for the rest of the resort.

Aquatica

Aquatica is at 5800 Water Play Way, across from SeaWorld Orlando.

Tickets are dated, and children under 3 need no ticket. The advertised starting price is $51.99 in 2026. Parking, taxes and service or shipping fees are extra, and the price can differ by day.

Parking starts at $35 for cars and motorcycles, with preferred parking from $38, and it varies by season. Hours vary, and the park can stop admission when it reaches capacity, so arrive early on busy days.

The current ride list names Reef Plunge, Riptide Race, Ihu's Breakaway Falls, Tassie's Underwater Twist and Kare Kare Curl. Quick Queue is sold separately, with limited dates and availability. Compare it with the dry parks on the SeaWorld Orlando page.
